Election Overview
The Group 2 Election presents a head-to-head race between Camryn Henry and Jason Jones. As of 9:00 p.m. on April 3rd, the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections reported a total of 326 mail-in votes, representing a modest 1.45% voter turnout.
Jason Jones was elected unopposed in 2022, following the retirement of former commissioner Rick Lott. This year, he faces his first challenger, Camryn Henry, making this the only contested race of the current election cycle.
Other Election Notes
- In 2024, Mary Thomas Mathis was re-elected unopposed.
- During this election season in 2025, Nate Kilton also secured his position unopposed.
- In 2023, Mike Sparkman narrowly defeated Jeremy Griner, earning Sparkman his 10th term on the commission. Unfortunately, voter turnout for that election was notably low, at just 7.98%.
