A major new medical facility is set to break ground on Wilder Road, bringing expanded healthcare services and commercial development to the Plant City community. The upcoming Plant City Medical Complex will span approximately 11 acres, featuring a mix of medical office spaces, a 100-room hotel, and direct access to the newly opened South Florida Baptist Hospital.

The complex will be divided into distinct zones, ensuring a well-planned layout for healthcare and supporting businesses. Key features of the development include:
- Office Space: 11 buildings totaling 70,400 square feet
- Hotel: A 100-room facility to accommodate patients, visitors, and medical professionals
- Parking: 402 spaces serving both the office buildings and hotel
- Site Access: Direct connection to South Florida Baptist Hospital (north side) and Wilder Road (east side)
While the land has been privately owned by multiple entities, it was never publicly listed for sale, and the final purchase price remains undisclosed. The survey work for the project was completed earlier this year, marking the first steps toward development. The property on the west side is bordered by a former landfill and pond owned by the Department of Transportation and the City of Plant City. The property on all other sides, besides that of the hospital, is owned by private individuals.

The project is still in its early stages, with site plans under review by local authorities. More details on the construction timeline and specific medical services are expected in the future.
The Plant City Medical Complex is poised to enhance local healthcare options by:
- Providing easier access to medical professionals and specialized care
- Reducing travel times for outpatient and specialty services
- supporting the local economy with new businesses and job opportunities
While the exact scope of medical services has yet to be announced, the zoning suggests a blend of general healthcare, outpatient clinics, and specialty practices.
As development progresses, additional details on construction and service offerings will be made available. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting new addition to Plant City’s growing healthcare landscape!
